I just saw your thread and I'm so sorry. Though we finally own our house outright, we risk losing it if taxes aren't paid. Husband hasn't been able to find work in almost 2 years; I am disabled. The money we did have saved is gone now from paying bills. There is literally nothing left. I have called every assistance program possible and got turned down because we have $800 income from social security and an inherited annuity a month. This is crazy that they expect a couple to live on $800 a month. There goes meds, T, and many other necessities.
