The pushing away would have triggered me, made me anxious, and I wouldn't call it over reacting - you reacted as you reacted because it touched deeply on the issue of trusting your T.
Talking to T about it when you do meet again will help with the anxiety this provoked. I'm sorry you are feeling anxious right now, but it is understandable. Can you go past the anxiety to the reasons behind it, so you can accept those valid fears/worries to find some relief?
