I must be seeing the new version of the navbar because it is wider than the old one was.
The formatting works OK when I'm working in a maximized browser window
or when the "Attention: Live Chat Happening Now!" message is being displayed. I usually keep a 1/2- or 3/4-inch margin of desktop around my window, though, where I can access utilities like Notepad and folders like My Documents. With my browser window at that size, here's what happens:
-- The "Community" button in the brown bar gets pushed to the far left of a new line. No problem so far; it's been like that for as long as I can remember.
-- the "My Profile" button also gets pushed to a new line and begins just to the right of "Community".
-- The box with the post title and location ("Forums at Psych Central > General > Community Feedback & Technical Support...") gets pushed over so that it begins just to the right of "My Profile".
-- The "Welcome, Fool Zero" box gets pushed halfway beyond the window so that I no longer see how many notifications I have until I scroll sideways. Since I first noticed this (last night, I think), I've learned the difference between "Private Messa|
ges: Unread 0" and "Your Notifica|
tions: 2" but I do have to remember to look.
However, when the "Attention: Live Chat Happening Now!" message is being displayed it apparently introduces a linebreak. The "My Profile" button is still over at the left but it's no longer pushing the box with "Forums at Psych Central > General..." to the right. The "Welcome, Fool Zero" box ends up completely within my browser window and I see my notifications (if any) in full.
Would it be possible to insert that linebreak even when the "Attention: Live Chat..." message isn't being displayed?
Thanks,
FZ
