I feel for you thunderbear. It's so hard when our kids are so excited about christmas, and we just can't share it, because we know we can't give them what they are looking forward to. I totally understand. We sold our bigscreen tv so we could buy some presents for our kids. It was an old tv, so we didn't get that much for it, but enough for some presents for the kids. We haven't given each other anything in years, but the kids are more important. Yes, christmas should be just about the joy and love, but everyone with kids knows how sweet their excitement is on christmas morning, when they tear into their presents.

I hope something comes up for you and things get better. Have you looked on Craigslist for some cheap toys? You can get some really good deals on there, and the kids won't care that the toys aren't brandnew.
