Yes, of course good advice. I have given that to others before, when I was in a better state of mind, but now I need to listen.

Just as negativity feeds negative thoughts, the opposite is also true and the key is breaking the cycle- getting over that first hump.

For me- one of the very best things I have ever done is to force myself out into the air for a long walk. If I can do that- then I always feel better afterwards, or at least never any worse. And it has the power to completely change my day.

I am just finishing up a week of intense family grief over a suicide. My goal today is a long hot shower and a walk. If I can do that, then the day will automatically be better than yesterday.

I think small steps help people from failing their high expectations.
