Excessive as in heavy flow or excessive duration/length of menses, or both? You don't actually need to answer but make a note of the answer for your doc. There are a lot of normal changes in the body that can cause this and then some abnormal changes that can cause this too. If you have any other signs or symptoms, pain, discomfort, tenderness, discharge, etc., make a note of this and if the cycle is still regular or not; and whether this change has come on suddenly or gradually. Making a note of all of these things can help you and your doc decide what to do, and go from there. If you are concerned, it is worth talking to the doc, so she can help you with your concern and recommend a possible course of action.

Your body, your decision, and enlist her help and expertise to treat you and your body and to decide what you can live with. I'd call.
