Sorry about your family situation But I myself think that close friends are just like, if not better than family!

I dont know if this will help but when I feel overwhelmed or have alot to do, I write a list of things that need to be done and one by one tick them off. As you start ticking through the list, you see the load lightening.

Before you know it you will be happy in your new home!
