My own experience of this and working with pre verbal feelings is to dig around in session for words, both of us, T and I, and eventually feelings and new words and insight connect, and the eventually when you have these feelings which are about childhood happening in the present, you remember the feeling, you remember the insight you have into it and your able to self talk yourself into handling these feelings and seperating them from the present...its like getting used to a new habit, the feeling hits and instead of reacting to it and getting lost in it, you take time to think it through, sometimes i journal, sometimes I remember what we said about the feeing in session..not easy, no button to press to make it all go away and its like riding a bike, feels awkard at first and you fall off (get lost in them) plenty of times then one day the feelings come and memory of having survived them, get through them replaces the void...
