Gus1234U wrote a post not long ago about "changing state"--that we fear or avoid doing something because it would "shock" us into another state (of being, silly!) (I hope I got that right, Gus?)

So, what I'm thinking is that the busyness of other activities is just that: avoiding making the change. She suggested that things like being "required" to go to an appointment can "shock" us into the step that we need to make in order to proceed.

That means it would be helpful to ask a friend to come over early and help you start packing up...or start moving the plants...or something small that either forces you into an interaction that forces you to plunge forward, or that tricks yourself into a change of state.

(I really apologize for the punctuation storm...and for the sense of humor....)
Thanks for this!
