Diabetes can be just as difficult to manage as any mental or other illness; there is no predicting levels even with the best of attempts with diet, exercise, and meds to control it. It can be very unmanageable, is painful with injections and with dire consequences. As a caregiver and also working many years in a hospital, there are those that have found management but more that have not; it is just too unpredictable. Sound familiar? It is just as frustrating and debilitating with a significant impact on life as other illnesses.
