Sure! No Problem 
Click on the SOCIAL GROUPS link, whether on the left column in the profile, or on the task bar in the main forum index.
From that listing of all the social groups...go to the very bottom and in a colored bar (depends upon what skin you're using as to what color it is) you'll see : CREATE A NEW GROUP
Click on that.
It opens in a new window asking for NAME OF GROUP and a description of group (who it's for etc.)
Then there are choices in a drop down making it PUBLIC, MODERATED or INVITE ONLY.
You can change (EDIT) the group's options as to public or not, and what the description is, but YOU CANNOT EDIT THE NAME OF THE GROUP (at least I haven't see how yet.  )
When a private group (INVITE ONLY) is created, you'll have the option of inviting people with the same...go to the bottom of the social group and click on invite/edit members. From there in the window you type in who you wish to invite and it will send the invitation. Others can suggest people, and people can ask in PM or otherwise, but the invite has to come through the originator of the group and that window.
The social group will need to be active or DocJohn will drop it from the listing (I think post something every 30 or 60 days??) And it will need 25 members before you can then create a private FORUM that will show on the forum index ONLY to members.
