I take OTC stuff like Unisom, or a couple mg of melatonin. The melatonin usually works for me, but for the nights when I'm more wired/anxious, I take Unisom. That knocks me out pretty well, but sometimes leaves me a bit groggy when I wake up in the morning.
Of course, check with your dr to make sure the OTC stuff won't interact negatively with your prescription medication(s). I take Lexapro and I haven't had any problems.
