Well with the time lapse I was worried that I hadn't been approved for the temp disability. So at this point I wasn't sure if I was going to see a check or not, and I was trying not to get my hopes up or get anxious about it... so while not totally unexpected there was still an element of happy surprise when I saw the envelopes. When I saw the first one I thought it was the check but it could have been something else, but when I saw two more I knew it had to be them. I had to calm myself down before opening them
