So in 2007 I had thyroid cancer and they removed my thyroid. I now live off of synthetic thyroid. For the most part it is always the same. Well during the past month my hair has been falling out and as of right now I have about of the hair I had a month ago, ugh. Since the hair started to fall out I thought there may be a thyroid issue so I had my TSH checked this past week and found out that I have zero detectable thyroid in my body. I have been WAY too suppressed. So the Dr. is changing my thyroid meds. Along with that I am vitamin D and C deficient. She said that these three issues are causing me to be very unstable and causing muscle and bone issues. So I am on super high doses of both D and C for the next 2 months. My D is at 23 and my C is at 8.1 This what was causing me to fall - I now fallen 5 times in the last month and they have been some pretty nasty falls.

So any way - it's nice to find out why I have been falling and I am glad it is not all the BP meds I am on and it is treatable. AND I will have my hair back in a few months. At least I have thick hair. They also tested me to see if the cancer is back I won't know the results of the tumor marker until next week - that is always a nail biter. So far I have been cancer free since 07.
