Jack didn't like the raw treats, I hope he is better about the baked hard ones. This time I didn't look up my recipe, just dumped brown rice cooked in beef broth, oatmeal, whole wheat flour and eggs together and rolled them out like snakes/rope. Usually I roll the dough like you do with sugar cookies, and cut cut dog related shapes.
Oh Dear, I'll have to wait a few hours to give him one. The way I bake them is to bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes, turn the oven off and leave in the over night. But they weren't dried out yet this morning.
Next time I'll both folow the recipe and make them thinner. I put the oven at 250 and will leave them for at least 2 more hours.
The snake shapes are to put in his "Kong". If he doesn't like them, I'll dip them in the fat free beef gravy and freeze them so that they taste better. Or roll them in peanut butter and freeze that on. I better check the ingredients of that jar gravy, it might have
onion in it

.
My do rights: I baked the first batch of 'Rollo cookies" last night for the first of the Christmas cookies on my list for the bake sale. I'll mix up some more today but have to go buy pecans first!
Today I had my kidney doctor's appt canceled due to the bad roads, so I rescheduled that. It is just for my routine 6 month follow up anyway and I'm doing great, already looked at my lab results! "stable kidney disease"

Jack needs to return to vet for a quick blood test for heartworm so he can get his Rx.
I'm still needing to vaccum ---- can you tell that isn't my fav job? Dirt will still be there when I get around to it.
The snow still looks beautiful. But it is colder on bare feet than I thought it would be....well, not totally bare, just shoes, I didn't put socks or mittens on when I took Jack out for his first morning pee....

won't be doing that again any time soon.
