Rainbow, I don't worry about things I can't change or prepare for. But if I can do anything to prepare or influence the outcome, I will focus my efforts on that. It feels good to be able to "take action." Like once I am exposed to the stomach flu, I would make a special effort to boost immune function, such as by getting enough sleep. For the weather, I would watch the weather report and if it seemed likely there would be snow, I would make sure the snow tires were on my car, chains were handy, car was parked at the bottom of the hill, bus schedule was handy if I didn't want to drive, or whatever. For "what if T gets sick?" I would not devote time to that, because it is something completely out of my control. If you are religious, you could say a prayer for your T and her health.

I hope everything goes smoothly with your session tomorrow!

That's so interesting! They also don't want someone they think is too biased toward one side, because then the opposing lawyer will ask that they be dropped during jury selection. The judge I had was very unsympathetic to people who said their job was too important for them to take time off to be on the jury (like a doctor, lawyer, or another person who thinks highly of their value). So the judge would make them do it anyway to show them they were just a regular citizen.
