Toradol is an extremely powerful NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug). It's like super-Tylenol.

It is analgesic (treats pain), but by an entirely different mechanism than narcotics. It is sometimes substituted for opioids following surgery, for example.

It has many side effects, and is usually used for only brief periods.
