I just lost the reply I typed to you. I hate when that happens!
I say WOW! too. I am very happy that you had the kind of session you did, that your T was responsive to all of your concerns as stated in your email. You did a great job with telling her, and you should be very proud of yourself!
I can relate to your T's idea of emailing your thoughts and feelings about the session. That's what I do and it helps a lot! I always have expressed myself better in writing though that's been changing gradually through the years. I'm glad your T will allow you to email her!!
That is amazing that T decided to keep her practice open because of you. I agree that you shouldn't feel guilty at all; that was HER decision, but it sure does make you feel good, doesn't it!

Am I unique in the following: T asked me today what I was feeling after every emotional point we touched on. I told her that during a session it was just like I was in a two-way lecture. Everything was just words. I remember about 1/2 of that, take it away with me, and after a while I start to internalise and feel.

No, you're not unique. I usually don't feel anything during sessions, though that's also changing for me. I forget a lot of the conversation too. I start to feel when I get out the door and the whole day and night after my session. That's why I like to email T afterwards. I think most people internalise and feel AFTER their session, not during it.
You're doing great, sugahorse!!!
