Im in the same boat as you for food. Right now I got $60.00 a month for foodstamps. What helps is there are agencies nationwide like st vicent du paul, salvation army, and churches that have food pantries. you take you medical card or foodstamp card in with you and proof of id. They put you on the list and then you can go there once a week and pick up a huge box of food. I alsways get about $80-$100 dollars worth of food in it depending on availability. and they also have seaseonal gift food baskets like the thanksgiving one I just got had a 10 pound turkey, a box of stove top stuffing, a 5 pound bag of yams, 5 pound bag of potatoe, 6 cans of green beans, 2 cans of peas, 2 cans of fruit cocktail, a bunch of bannans, apples and oranges, cool whip and a pumpkin pie, rolls, and sweet buns. The christmas basket is much the same and they are nationwide and accepting people as I post in your state. Oregon's sign up for christmas starts next week.
