I suppose I should share how it happened!

I met him 3 years ago when we were living in the same residence hall and worked on the hall council together. He was the president and I was the secretary, were pretty much the only two people that ACTUALLY did anything. After that year we both moved out and moved to different places, we didnt hang out much because he had a girlfriend and was really busy with her. Every time we saw each other on campus we'd say hi. That was about the only contact we had. He is on the editorial board of the school's news paper and I read the news paper EVERY day and I always look forward to his columns. They make me laugh so hard and we share the same views on controversial topics. Anyhow, a few months ago I was reading his column and he wrote about his break up with his girlfriend of three years. He was dissapointed that he "wasted" three years of his life while neglecting his other friends and felt like he had no life after the break up. The same exact thing had happened to me a few years ago so I just HAD to let him know I understand his pain. Anyhow, I wrote him an email and he said I couldn't have sent it at a better time and really appreciated it. After that we said we should hang out but it took us at least a month to have time to actually hang out. That was week or two ago and it was GREAT time! We spent a good deal of the weekend together. Sunday night we were watching TV at my place and things started to get kind of akward. After long silence he turned to look at me and said, "I like you" I responded by saying "I like you too". He then says, "Gosh I'm so bad at this?" and of course I say "bad at what?" and he turns back to watch TV. When the next commercial came on he turned around and kissed me. After that I responded, "Are you trying to ask me to be your girlfriend?" and he nodded. So I said I suppose I'd be able to do that and he gave me the BIGGEST hug. He then told me that he's always kinda liked me and admitted he had called me during a month that he and his girlfriend were broken up because he had wanted to ask me on a date but couldn't because of his girlfriend. Anyhow... it's THREE years later and we're dating... it's so crazy I never thought anything like this could happen.
