I used to lose unfinished posts all the time with my old Netscape 4.5. The Firefox 2 I use now is much, much better that way. A few times I've even lost power, gotten back online hours later -- and found my unfinished post waiting for me. I figure that Firefox must cache posts on the hard drive even while I'm working on them. I know it does offer an "undo" function.

When something out of the ordinary is happening such as an iffy connection or an approaching storm (or I can tell I'm about to nod off), I regularly copy-paste whatever I'm working on to Windows Notepad and save it as something easy to remember -- such as "temp.txt"
