The only advice I can give is by seeing a psychiatrist or psychologist and taking a Comprehensive Psychological Evaluation so that you know what your problem is and how to fix it is your best bet. Like you said we aren't therapists. Having someone tell you what your problem is when they aren't trained could make you worse because we only know by what you write not by what a trained professional would hear and see and have the test results to help in diagnosing and so on. as to hallusinations and delusions. They are different things but a person can have them both. A delusion is a belief that is not true like believeing you're a king or psychic and so on where as hallucinations are hearing and seeing things that aren't there like suddenly seeing a spider on the wall and a few minutes later its gone. hearing a sound but nothing and no one is making it. a person can believe they are a king and also hear or see spiders that arent there. There are many disorders this could fall into bipolar, schito, borderline personality disorder, narcasistic and others. the only way to narrow it down is by seeing a psychiatrist or psychologist and taking an evaluation which include specific questions about the symptoms, (some that are common know and others that only the psych professional knows about).
People with DID and other "split personality" type disorders don't have delusions and hallucinations, and their mood swings are from being abused and a trigger associated with the abuse makes them "switch".
