the end of the day the only person you have to answer to is yourself and if you can live and go on with what you have done than so be it....if others can not...they are not the ones that have to live in this (your) body. i understand you have your friends and their opinions matter. i have to worry all the time how i look in front of my family because of past drug use...any marks on my arms bruises or if i loose a bunch of weight if i don't feel like getting dressed that day and im not all done up, even if i'm wearing sunglasses. i always have to think about these things when my partner thinks its silly but he didn't know me than.
for even worring about it it says a lot. it shows you wanting to get better and your willingness to "keep on truckin" (huge greatfull dead fan) hehe
