I'm not sure what advice to give you, but I want to let you know that I understand at least some of what you're going through.

I suffer from anxiety and spent years grappling with whether or not I should move to another city. I was so deathly afraid that I'd end up homeless or totally screwed, that I'd totally ruin my life.

I finally decided to move and everything is fine. If I can do it, I'm sure you can, too. You just have to do a little planning financially and know that you can count on yourself.
