Whenever I mention a hitch in my emotional state (I'm bipolar) to my two closest friends its usually met with uncomfortable responses. Typically a slightly reassuring comment "that everybody has their bad days". Or worse the "look at all you have in your life" argument. (I don't know about anybody else who's bipolar or experiences depression, but this method never makes me feel any better.) My question is there a good book(s) or a good movie(s) to sit down with them and tell them, "This is kinda what its like to be me."? Or a resource that can help me get all my jumbled thoughts together and explain to them what living with bipolar disorder is like? I appreciate everybody's help. I'm walking really close to that line of just pushing them away, which isn't going to be good for anybody involved.
