I think from your previous posts your daughter was just diagnosed and recently went through a med change? If that is the case it can take some time to find the right med combo and/or dosage. Lithium levels can be determined through blood work. The pdoc should be having her blood drawn to determine if the dosage is in a therapeutic range. I would also suggest tracking her mood if she's not willing to do it herself. A great online tracker is at http://www.medhelp.org/land/mood-tracker

Perhaps you could monitor what she's eating, drinking, and any outside triggers (stress, schedule changes etc.). Food and mood do have a connection and a great book on this topic is the The Food Mood Solution by Jack Challem. I'm assuming that you ensure she's taking her meds as prescribed? It does take patience to find the right med combo etc., but the pdoc should still be made aware of what's going on. I hope your daughter finds some peace soon.
