Yes, I've been left alone a number of times and didn't have thoughts of doing anything near as entertaining as yours. I think I usually just sit there and think or look around at things on his walls. Or I think about what I am going to talk about that day with him. He has a big stack of books on the floor near where we sit, so sometimes I have looked at those. They always seem to be the same books--he keeps them there for reference? In this way I discovered that we share some of the same favorite poets, and we have talked about that.
