Klonopin gave me my life back. I have taken it for almost 16 years, the same dose, never an extra pill, and no panic attacks. Yes, it may be addictive, but for me, I dont care. I personally do not think I am addicted to it, since I do not crave it, have to put my pills in one of those little weekly pill holders to know if I have even taken it, and never had to increase the doseage. It took me about 4 weeks to get over the drowsieness it can cause at first, but I have had absolutely no problems on it since. I had been on a LARGE dose of Xanax, and WAS addicted - I sat with the pill in my hand watching the clock til I could swallow it, and it didnt work anyway. I THOUGHT it was helping me, and it did for about an hour to some degree, but when I got on the Klonopin, I KNEW it was working !

Everyone reacts to meds differently. Some Docs will say if you have an addictive personality, it might not be the med for you, and some Docs are just not knowledgeable about how to prescribe it and monitor a patient taking it. Having worked with clients with panic now for over 12 years, I have never seen anyone have serious issues with Klonopin, and have seen more success with it than not.
