I actually came across this movie a couple years ago, it was made sometime around 2002. While I agree that the opening can be triggering and stigmatizing, it is actually a very good movie.
The important thing that isn't necessarily caught at first, is that he (Jeremy Sisto) is not having a therapy session...

He is waiting for his appointment to begin. The "therapist" is an insider.
What I find very good about this movie is the way the insiders interact and talk all at once. I had my T watch this movie so she could get a better understanding of what can be going on inside at any given time. It was very helpful for her.
