I'm very scatterbrained right now, so I apologize in advance for this not being more thought out..
I've had pain in one breast for several months now and have felt a lump. I've ignored it and was overdue on my yearly exam. At my last exam, almost 2yrs ago the NP mentioned the lump on that side but because I'm young it's been pushed aside. It's gotten pretty painful and I finally went in today.
First of all, I'm pretty upset with the CNM I saw. First time seeing her and she made a comment about my belly. After 2 kids my body looks awful, but I don't need it pointed out. I do own a few mirrors.
Then my depression screening came back high, as usual. She suggested therapy, which I'm doing and a change in meds.
Finally, she is sending me for a mammogram. Well, I'm 27 almost 28. The clinic won't do the mammogram because I'm under 30 and instead will be doing an ultra sound. I'm fine with that and I'm 99.9% sure it's nothing. My husband is pretty worried though.
I'm really going no where with this. Just needed to get it out somewhere. I'm feeling really crazy today and wanting to just crawl in a hole or something.
Has anyone had to deal with a painful lump before? I do have clear discharge from that side too.
