The power outage probably kept me from digging my heels in and staying home in the dark! I wish I had read these because I think practicing some affirmations would really have helped. I like "I have just as much of a reason to be there as everyone else." I will keep that in mind!
I do feel so much better for going, and we met some really nice people. Less than five minutes of awkwardness/furious blushing. I was actually brave and traded phone numbers with someone. I have a terrible phone phobia and may not be brave enough to call/answer, but I will really try!!
Wingin' it, I hope your party went well!
I had some disappointing school news this morning, so hearing these supportive words is helping me to focus on the positive and think about my progress this year. Thanks so much and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I'm so glad the party went quite well. And now you can think that it is over and you met nice people and you are not required to go to a party soon again. And maybe this good experience even helps you over the threshold to go the next time.
