This may not sound like a big deal, but it was for me. I am 50 years old, and was "taking care" of 2 kids. One really wanted to go sledding, so I said okay, I'll be nice, figuring I'd just watch for a few minutes and then we would leave.
I actually went down the hill. About 5 times. Backwards, mostly.
The thing is, I thought about it every minute. In my head, I was saying "Ok, maybe you could do this. Maybe you could actually do it. It might even be fun. Let yourself do this."
Gosh, I was SO self aware of every movement. And then I jut did it. In front of other people! Not a lot of people, but some!
And I must say, I was SO impressed with myself. In general, I do not DO fun. Almost never. I also talked myself into it by also thinking "well, if you do this, you will have to walk back up the hill, and then maybe you won't feel guilty all day about not getting any exercise at all."
