Keep a journal of your time, like dieters do with calories. EVERY time you go on, log your minutes.

Now look at those minutes/hours. Were they worth it? Satisfying? Wasn't there something you would rather have done?

Add all the time up for a week, then average that and see what the daily average time is. That is now your goal- to be under that amount. Each day, try to be on less time. Maybe even try 5 minutes less. Perhaps this will make you think about which part of FB you can really go without. Maybe you will be able to tell what is most important to you about FB, and give yourself minutes for that.

And also go through your friends list again... come on, do you really need all of those people??

I'm not saying this is easy- I get it. I had to delete my account right away as I am impulsive and would want to comment on every photo. I just do not need to be lurking there, not good at all for me..

All those minutes you are adding up, multiply them times days, weeks, months, years... AAGHHH!

Or, here's one last idea- have a Facebook "Sponsor". Every time you feel like getting on FB, call him/her and have them talk you out of it! Or put a quarter in a jar for everytime you DON'T go on, and then spend it!

Or just ignore this post because I really don't know what I am talking about! I'm just addicted to responding to people so I don't have to do other things!!
Thanks for this!
