I'm glad it worked out for you. Many moons ago while at work, I accidentally fried my keyboard by spilling a cup of coffee all over my keyboard. The IT Dept. had to replace the keyboard.
Prayer is good, but I learned at an early age the consequences of expecting miracles. Let me tell you my story of woe.
I tried out for the "pom-pom" squad in junior high. To my surprise, I made the cut and my father talked my mother into allowing me to be on the squad. I was thrilled to have the chance to dance and perform at school.
Our gym teacher was the coach. She handed us a list of supplies to buy and told us our mothers would know how to make them if we had any trouble. Yeah, right - I knew there was no way my mother would be willing or sober enough to help me.
I used my allowance to buy the materials, but I didn't know how to put it together without any instruction. I tried my very best, but the darn thing came out looking like a tree instead of a pom-pom.
I remembered what people said about God's love and praying for miracles. I stayed up the ENTIRE night praying for a miracle - but the tree never turned into a pom-pom. I gave up on those prayers when I had to get up and get ready for school. I was exhausted but I did my best to make myself presentable.
Every kid in the school ROARED when I walked into school holding my "trees." My coach asked why I hadn't followed her instructions to have my mother make it for me. I had to perform at every game with those pom-poms. It zapped the joy out of performing. Every time I would look out into the crowd and see people pointing fingers and laughing, all I could think was "Gee - thanks for the miracle, God."
It was a big letdown. Oh well, I eventually grew pom-poms of my own.
