KP,

I agree the parts do contend as in the movie and I think it is clever the way they depicted the internal therapist. It became more clear as it was explained. A short trailer doesn't show the whole picture and so it shouldn't.

Believe it or not my therapy has never felt like this being dragged down a dark hallway. My therapist goes out of his way to have locations that are filled with natural light and lots of windows, so I was worried about the person seeing this trailer and being frightened from getting help.

Yes, the alters vie for position like this and the memories of the hurt that went on are dark but the therapy experience, for me, has been anything but dark and never a proving ground. I realize I am lucky in this and that the light has always outweighed the darkness.

Movies being what they are are limited in how they can help. I remember in Sybil though, the therapists room was so light even though Sybil's memories were dark. I am not holding up Sybil as being a 'best' movie or anything but I just didn't see any light in this trailer and I got concerned for those coming to this DD Forum who only know darkness and thinking this is how it is.

I don't want to start a controversial thing here I was just trying to show a sensitivity to those who are new to dissociation.

Forgive me if I came across as judgmental.
