Maybe you should try reading some fiction before bed, something that's nice without too much negative emotion and maybe that will help to direct your dreams to a similar place.

I have anxiety, too, but usually it bugs me at night, and not upon waking. I can understand your fears though because waking up in a panic is very unpleasant when it does happen.
