I'm not an expert on eating disorders, but from what I understand, you will always be bulimic, even if you don't purge, just like an alcoholic will always be an alcoholic, even if he never drinks again.

I'm not really sure what you mean by living a fantasy life. Do you mean you convince yourself that you're a character from a TV show living in that TV world, and you really believe it, or you watch TV shows and imaging yourself in them, but you're fully aware that's just a fantasy, and not real life?
