not sure if this is the right forum to post this .. perhaps it belongs in the meds forum, idk.

anyway, i was wondering if anyone knows when antipsychotics are prescribed for borderline personality disorder. i thought (from what i've read)the first choice of meds was SSRIs. but my dr's started with antipsychotics. dont wanna bring it up with him- was wondering if someone here could tell me why SSRIs wouldn't be the first choice prescription for a dr treating bpd.
