Sounierre ...

Basically everything that you described in your initial post here on this thread is indicative of some level of OCD (in my opinion).

The intrusive thoughts of harming others, the fixation on the number "10", having to perform compulsions in groups of ten, and the fixation on germs / catching something from someone who sneezes or fails to wash their hands properly after using the bathroom are all classic symptoms of OCD.

Now, as you mentioned at the conclusion of your post "It doesn't bother me as much as it sounds", well then, if it isn't bothering you to the point of interfering with your quality of life, then I wouldn't become overly worried about it. However, once again, they are classic symptoms of OCD.

I'd keep the option open of possibly going to see a mental health specialist who may be able to prescribe you something to lessen the severity of your symptoms (possibly an SSRI medication such as Zoloft or Prozac) -or- may suggest some form of therapy / CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy).

Hope this helped.

Take care,
