You folks are one seriously motivated group. I am especially floored by everyone who manages to keep their home, bedroom, bathroom, car, pantry, closet, friends' places--you name it--clean and tidy. Now my place isn't gross or anything, but cleaning is NOT a task I number among my favorites or at which I'm great. Try to imagine where I live as a slightly messy cave with a lot of books.
That's not entirely true, and I do keep my place reasonably clean.
Though I must admit that noirkitten's post about her half-cleaned room reminded me of a strategy I had when I was a kid--the half of the room that was clean often faced the mountain of stuff that had been shoved on the other half so the first half counted as clean. Does that make sense?
My contribution: early this morning, I took a walk on a frozen tundra that was once a city. Normally I appreciate pre-dawn desolation, snow, and cold, but I don't recognize much in what used to be my world anymore. When I returned, I hacked at mountains of frozen snow and ice that had decided to grip my car from the bottom and sides. I'm sure my neighbors loved me for that.
Wishing everyone a happy, productive day.
