melissa, as i mentioned i think to u before the "key" is "willingness" and change. it seems you have that and i am happy for you on this journey of a new way of living. for some of us it takes time to get it right-meaning not drinking-but in my heart i know you can do this as suggested by AA. your sponsor is your guide-thank goodness you have one! i knew i couldn't do it alone and my sponsor helped me stay focused on what i needed to do as well as meetings. just remember you do have a choice re drinking...get drunk or go to a meeting instead. 'think throught the drink" and it will help you stay sober. i know you know this so i'll shut up  . just so happy "you want it". you will never regret it. you deserve to be happy, joyous, and free!!!
