Cranberries are very acidic, and inhibit bacteria from sticking around. Would you be allergic to cranberry pills? They may be easier for you.
I hope your doctor can be of help - there are also daily antibiotics that can help. The only problem with antibiotics is developing a resistance to them, which happens frequently if you have enough infections. You may need a referral to a urologist, there could be internal reasons for frequent infections.
