When I ride the bus, I sometimes wonder if people stare at the people who get off at the mental health center. Also I sometimes like to cry on the way home from work. I mean it gets tiring trying not to think about certain things. I have not had anyone bother me about crying on the bus. However, I can imagine that if someone rode home during the day instead of evening then the person might have a problem. I mean sometimes a person just doesn't want to deal with people after a hard therapy session, work day or school day. As for people with a severe mental disorder, just touching dirty money or being around a lot of people might keep them from getting out.
Of course some people take advantage of people. I know someone who rides the bus and has a social worker drive her to the grocery store. This bothers me a little. I mean I don't manage to get help much from any body. However, I may not know something about her which justifies her getting help in this area. My ex-boy friend gets my sister to drive him to the grocery store. He could do it just as well on the bus like I do. It would be harder for him because of his weight problem. So it really depends on the person, mental illness etc.
I just get a ride to work on Sundays because the bus doesn't run then. I also do my laundry at my sisters due to low income.
