Yeah, I'm fine. I was at the optometrist's (sp?) office when it hit, and no one there even noticed. My wife was out shopping with my daughter and they both felt it pretty good. I think I'm just one of those typical Californians that shrug off earthquakes. I mean, you can stock up on water, canned foods, batteries & flashlights, things like that, but how do you prepare for something as devastating as an earthquake? The last one to scare me was the one in "89". That one scared the living bejeezus out of me. I had driven across the top of the Cypress structure about 20 minutes before it collapsed. I was a different person for months after that.

I'm glad to hear that you're OK. I think kvin lives in my area (not really sure, but I think he's mentioned it before), so I hope he'll check in too. I'm about 30-35 miles east of San Francisco.

With a quake this big it's likely there will be some aftershocks. Let stay in touch, OK? And thanks for being worried about me, I would have checked in sooner, but I've been running errands. At least I'm on vacation...
