I had a very unsettling weekend, and I was hoping to get some advice. I've known B for about three years, when I hired her as an intern (I'm 2 years older)... she worked for me for about three months and I never really cared to much for her - she worked fine, but came of very harsh and rough around the edges. Then she was not at work one day -and I got a call saying she had been raped.
Well I cried for a while and went to her house. It turns out she had this whole history of trauma - the attacker had been an old boyfriend/fiance - with whom she had had a child at 17... 3 years later, the boy was killed in a car accident, and 2 years after than she was working for me.
I'm going on too much - the point is, if you name something awful to happen to someone, she could come up with a story to match or better it. She developed something of a fixation on me - I had the job she wanted, my family was functional, unlike hers, etc..... everything /hobby/likes/dislikes that I took on she mimicked....
anyways it's gotten bad.... she is in the process of buyingt a house now, so I've let her and her roommate move into mine for the interim...
Last week I woke up in the middle of the night and she had crawled into bed with me. I am certain that she is straight - and she was just sleeping - but that was WEIRD.. not cool.
Then, this weekend, I had another friend over having a boyfriend crisis - needless to say, B got really moody at the time I was spending with my friend. Last night, she went out .... then around 10 pm I hear the door fumbling open.. it's B... with 'blood' all over her hands.

i get really calm in situations like that - so I hung up the phone and I grabbed her arm and walked her to a seat.... she was woozy and out of it... i ran to get a cloth and I asked her what had happened... a car accident in front of her.. she said. She'd stopped, and performed CPR on a little girl (B had worked as a life guard for while).. She was very shaken.

That's when I noticed that the 'blood' was a really strange consistancy - sticky... and wasn't wiping off her hands properly.

I washed my hands and they were stained - they're still stained this morning.. a wierd pinkish color from whatever B had used to mimic blood. I called the sheriff (no not on B- yet :-) and asked about any traffic accidents on the road she'd come from.. nothing.

I told B I was going to run to the store to get beer to calm her down - and drove up to where she'd come from (only a few miles away) - just to be sure.

Needless to say - nothing.

I don't know what to do right now.. i want her out of my house... i guess i'm worried that she'll really fly off of the handle if I confront her lie... i haven't said anything -just last night I got home, handed her a beer, and went to bed.

This morning she just paged me telling me 'I got a call from the hospital- and the little girl is OK'..

So she's obviously decided to carry on with the lie.

It makes me wonder about all of the stories she's ever told me.

what should I do??????
