Hey KV:
I can see that YOU are back. That's nice - I'm glad that whatever you are taking is working for you.

I thought about you recently, and got a little sad. I was in the car and a song by Dar Williams came on -- "when I was a boy". I own the CD and have listened to it thousands of times, but never really paid attention to they lyrics of that particular song. Anyway, initially it kind of reminded me of you because of the 'androgyny' aspect of children, when it doesn't matter which gender you are -- kids are largely free to be themselves (or so it would seem in Songland) but are stifled as adults. But then the end of the song made me burst into tears -- because I guess I didn't really ever think about how men also mourn the loss of their freedom to be feminine -- actually more so than women do because our freedom to be masculine is much more accepted.

Anyway, I'm not sure how much it has to do with you personally, but my initial thoughts were of you.

We are ALL going to be a-ok!
