Yes, I get stuck, and it can be frustrating. What can work for me is to just leave it for a while. Quit banging my head against the wall and just not deal with it for a while--give myself a break from feeling stuck. I turn toward something else for a while--it may be weeks or months--but I promise myself I will return to my stuckness. I find that after a break, I can often make progress and get unstuck.
If you feel stuck in therapy, can you share that with your T? They are usually interested to hear those things and often have good ideas about how to break impasses.
