Just to put a few words in here---alot of great info on this subject--thank you all!!!

Here; in NYC, you find that even though it's against the law (Americans with Disabilities act of 1988: "No landlord may lawfully discriminate against you for housing r/t having aan emotional support dog"..."Reasonable accommodation must be found" etc.)landlords do it anyway!!!and, they get away with it too!!!

There's a Psychiatric Dog Foundation here--I was advised to get my apartment--
say nothing about a dog; sign the lease--then bring the dog on!!!!!!!

My girl Crackers is gone now--she was in such pain all the time---I had to do it-she was 15!!!!!I miss her sooo much, and I would have gotten housing here six months ago but she was not ready yet------I waited till she told me---her eyes--you know?

So now I still am in need of housing; and it's pretty cold out here.........

I goes as it goes...it flows as it flows-----enjoy your dogs; can't say that I don't envy you.

Crackers was not trained to be an "emotional support dog"--she just loved me sooo much; she knew before I did when a panic attack was coming--she pawed at my face when the night horrors began---always so wise

It's amazing how dogs can sense our every mood.

Thanks for this!
