It's true. She may be seriously manic, but there is a mindfulness that is possible to where she can learn when these episodes are coming on and perhaps control her outbursts to an extent.
If not, then she is a danger and she could end up in the hosptial long term, which nobody wants to see happen.
If she is not in therapy, that could be a good way to help her learn to manage her mania a little better.
