As bad as things can look in my life sometimes, when I look at my wife and children, and my dear, wonderful friends here, I realize that my life isn't all that bad. It's pretty darn good actually! Me, my wife, and the kids are going out tomorrow afternoon near where I work to a shelter. General Electric has a program called ELFUN, and every year they gather together volunteers to make, take, and serve dinners on Christmas and Christmas Eve. My family is going to pitch in and help this year. All the talk about the holiday becoming so commercialized and we all having lost sight of the true meaning of Christmas, really hit home for me. I think it will mean something to the kids, and I know it will to me.
